We started as a small household of cats and one very opinionated dog — and a simple frustration: most pet products are designed for a shelf, not for real life. That household has kept growing since, and we suspect it's not done yet.
Everything We Sell Gets Tested at Home First
Our dog Cookie rides in the car with us constantly, and her favorite thing in the world is sticking her head out the window and catching the wind. It sounds simple, but it's taught us a lot about what pet gear actually needs to hold up to — motion, mud, drool, a dog who does not sit still.
So we started sourcing directly from manufacturers — the same factories and workshops that supply many pet brands you already know — instead of buying through a chain of importers who never touch the product themselves. Everything gets tried on our own pets before it's listed. If it doesn't hold up at home, it doesn't make it to the shop.

Meet the Household
Charpaw isn't really a "team" in the usual sense — it's more like a household that keeps growing. Between us, we've ended up with a small crowd of cats and one dog, and who shows up on camera tends to depend on who feels like cooperating that day. Here are a few of the regulars.
Cookie — Dog, Head of Field Testing
Cookie's job is riding in the car with her head out the window, catching the wind, and generally deciding whether new gear can survive real life. If it holds up on a Cookie road trip, it's good to go.
Niannian — our resident gentle giant
A Ragdoll boy with an oddly specific obsession: packaging. Give him a box or a bag and he'll try to make it his personal chew toy. Sweet, easygoing, zero complaints filed. ("Niannian" comes from a Chinese New Year phrase wishing prosperity year after year.)
Baobao — looks unbothered, isn't
A golden chinchilla girl who has the resting face of someone judging your life choices, and the actual personality of a very affectionate, slightly goofy velcro cat. ("Baobao" playfully means "always full" or "well-fed" in Chinese.)
Yuanbao — the household's unofficial supervisor (and part-time chef)
A blue British Shorthair boy who technically belongs to the boss, but has appointed himself head of quality control anyway. Mostly naps — except when he's sneaking into the kitchen, which is often enough that he tends to smell faintly like whatever's cooking. ("Yuanbao" is the Chinese word for a gold ingot — a traditional symbol of good fortune. Fitting, for a cat who acts like he owns the place.)
Xuanmi — small, opinionated, unimpressed by everyone else on this list
A black Devon Rex girl with the curly coat and enormous ears to prove it. ("Xuanmi" means brown rice in Chinese — a nod to her dark, close-cropped coat.)
Banli — the one we found
A rescued stray tabby boy, picked up off the street and never quite let go of since. Still figuring out that comfortable furniture is allowed now. ("Banli" means chestnut in Chinese — small, round, and a little rough around the edges, just like him.)
